Happy Birthday Daddy!

The Rosenzweig's had a wonderful long weekend. On Friday, we stocked up on delicious food and Mom and Charlie put on a fabulous birthday celebration for Daddy with great presents, tasty food and time with family that was so special. We took Charlie to the park on Christmas Day and he had fun on the swings and slide (most of the time). Later on, we enjoyed a holiday celebration with our neighbors and Charlie and Jack played with all of Jack's new toys. On Sunday, we had a big snow storm, but Charlie still demanded to go outside, in his protected stroller of course. We travelled to our favorite lunch spot in Brooklyn Heights and did some post-holiday shopping on Smith Street. We spent the afternoon watching football. It was a terrific way to turn 33!

'Tis the Season

Charlie is having such a great holiday season. On Saturday, we went out to Long Island for Hanukkah Part 2 with the Rosenzweig's and to see the Agresti Family. We had a tasty Chili lunch with Jon, Jeanie and Andrew and then the boys tore and the house playing with one another. We spent the evening with our wonderful family celebrating Hanukkah and Dad's birthday. Charlie played for so long he slept almost all day Sunday, although he did find a free moment for brunch with Mom, Melissa and Hayley. Charlie is growing so fast they couldn't believe how big he was. Now if he would just walk!!!

Playtime

Charlie was a social butterfly this weekend playing with 3 of his bests friends. On Saturday, Charlie saw his daycare buddy Jacob and spent a wonderful afternoon playing at his home. It was so much fun to see the boys hanging out together. Later that day, we met up by chance with Charlie's friend Graeme for a quick visit at a favorite local watering hole. On Sunday, Charlie had a play date with Jude, one of his oldest friends. Even though they hadn't seen each other in a while, they played together so nicely it was like they never were apart. While Charlie had a great weekend, Mom and Dad both caught a stomach bug towards then end which was no fun. The joys of raising kids!!!

Happy Birthday Seth & Evan

During the week, Charlie celebrated his first Hanukkah with Mom and Dad. Charlie loved opening his gift and lighting the Menorah. Over the weekend, we travelled to Pennsylvania for Seth and Evan's Birthday Party. Seth turned 1 and Evan turned 3 and they hosted a wonderful party which featured tumbling, a bouncer and plenty of pizza and cake. Charlie had such a great time. Evan and Seth loved all their presents, especially the drum set bought by Grandma Susan. Evan is growing up to be quite the musician!!

Off to South Florida

We just couldn't visit Florida without going down south to visit Great Grandpa Sam and Dad's college buddies Russ and Brian. We had dinner with Great Grandpa and he and Charlie had such a blast together. Afterward, we went to Brian's house and met his daughter Eden. We spent the night catching up and had brunch in the morning. After brunch, we went to Russell's for a BBQ before the Gator game. The trip was way to quick, but we were so happy to see family and friends. Charlie was upset to leave, but had a last bit of fun playing pilot in the airport!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving, we took Charlie for his first visit to Grandpa Bill and Grandma Iris's home in Tampa, Florida. Uncle Ben and Aunt Jessica also came down and we had Thanksgiving Lazarus style. On Wednesday before Thanksgiving, we visited Grandpa at the office and had an outdoor lunch with Grandma at an art museum downtown. On Turkey day, we went to the park for some playtime before indulging in a terrific meal made by Grandpa with help from Uncle Ben and Mommy. For dessert, Aunt Jessica made delicious Pumpkin Pie. Charlie felt so loved and we all had a wonderful time.

Happy 30th Birthday Aunt Sara!

This weekend we went out to East Meadow to see Aunt Sara, Uncle Andy and the cousins for Sara's 30th Birthday and Hanukkah Part 1. We went out to a fantastic Italian dinner with the family and "Grandma" Grace. Afterward, we went back to the house and the boys had a blast playing with each other and with their new gifts, courtesy of Grandma and Grandpa. Charlie especially loved the pop-up game and played with it all weekend. On Sunday, we stayed local and prepared for our big trip to Florida for Thanksgiving with the Lazari!

Ben & Jessica Come to Town

This weekend, Charlie got such a special treat when Uncle Ben and Aunt Jessica came to visit. On Saturday night we went out to dinner at Broken English and caught up on the goings-on since we last saw each other back in May. On Sunday, we walked all around Park Slope, grabbed a hot dog at Bark and played on the swings in the Park. Charlie had such a good time playing with his Uncle and Aunt and they are so sweet and wonderful with him. Can't wait to see them again for Thanksgiving. Charlie also tried on his Dad's hat--think we have a little hipster on our hands.

Jack's 2nd Birthday

On Saturday, the family attended our neighbor's son's 2nd Birthday at the Moxie Spot in Brooklyn Heights. This was Charlie's first birthday party and he was so excited to go. Even a bad reaction to his flu shot on Friday couldn't stop him. Charlie had such a blast at the party, he listened to a band, played music on his own and even ate a bit of cake. Charlie looked longingly at all the presents and can't wait for his own birthday celebration in January!
