Summer Days
This week, Charlie was a social butterfly and had lots of visitors. He got to see his cousin Danielle on Friday for Happy Hour and loved playing with her and hearing about cousins Felix and Gus. On Saturday, Daddy had to work, but Charlie got to spend some time with Mommy and her friend Amanda for brunch in the Slope. On Sunday, the family went out to Long Island to visit Charlie's best friends Andrew and Mia. Now that the kids are getting older, they are just starting to interact, mostly by grabbing and drooling on each other. The week ended with a co-op board meeting where Charlie got to play with all the kids in the building up on the roof. A great start to the summer!

Father's Day, Politics & Promotions
What a big week for the family! During the week, we learned that Mommy was promoted at work and is now the Associate Director of Advising. We are so proud of her on this very well deserved honor. Daddy also learned that he will be handling his first trial which is very exciting. On Saturday, Charlie attended his first political event for Jesse Strauss as the "kissable baby" and had lots of fun being the center of attention. On Sunday, we had a wonderful father's day. Mommy made an awesome brunch and then we enjoyed the 7th Avenue fair followed by dinner at our favorite restaurant. Happy Father's Day to all our blog readers!!!

Charlie Plays the Ponies
Charlie spent the beginning of the week getting over his first cold. He had his ups and downs, but by the end of the week, he was back to his old tricks, i.e. squealing at the top of his lungs and having a great time. On Saturday, we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house in order to go to our friend Natalya Melnick's baby naming and to Daddy's friend Stu's birthday party at Belmont Racetrack. Charlie helped daddy make some picks, and we can rule at handicapper as an occupation for Charlie as we lost on 8 consecutive races! We still had a great time looking at the horses and enjoying the BBQ. Later that night, we celebrated Father's Day and Grandma's Birthday. Charlie so loves going to Grandma's house, she has such great toys and gives the best hugs!

Charlie's First Cold
On Monday evening, Charlie started sniffling and coughing and generally giving his parents (especially Daddy) a real scare. Despite feeling very uncomfortable, Charlie was a real trooper. After Dr. Gold confirmed it was just a cold, he got plenty of TLC from Mom and Dad and has been on the mend ever since. Over the weekend, we all took it easy and lounged around the neighborhood. We purchased a fun bean bag toss game and played in the yard by the Old Stone House where we had a audience of kids watching and cheering us on. Even under the weather, Charlie is still super cute, as evidenced by the pics above!
