We just couldn't visit Florida without going down south to visit Great Grandpa Sam and Dad's college buddies Russ and Brian. We had dinner with Great Grandpa and he and Charlie had such a blast together. Afterward, we went to Brian's house and met his daughter Eden. We spent the night catching up and had brunch in the morning. After brunch, we went to Russell's for a BBQ before the Gator game. The trip was way to quick, but we were so happy to see family and friends. Charlie was upset to leave, but had a last bit of fun playing pilot in the airport!

Off to South Florida

Thanksgiving
For Thanksgiving, we took Charlie for his first visit to Grandpa Bill and Grandma Iris's home in Tampa, Florida. Uncle Ben and Aunt Jessica also came down and we had Thanksgiving Lazarus style. On Wednesday before Thanksgiving, we visited Grandpa at the office and had an outdoor lunch with Grandma at an art museum downtown. On Turkey day, we went to the park for some playtime before indulging in a terrific meal made by Grandpa with help from Uncle Ben and Mommy. For dessert, Aunt Jessica made delicious Pumpkin Pie. Charlie felt so loved and we all had a wonderful time.

Happy 30th Birthday Aunt Sara!
This weekend we went out to East Meadow to see Aunt Sara, Uncle Andy and the cousins for Sara's 30th Birthday and Hanukkah Part 1. We went out to a fantastic Italian dinner with the family and "Grandma" Grace. Afterward, we went back to the house and the boys had a blast playing with each other and with their new gifts, courtesy of Grandma and Grandpa. Charlie especially loved the pop-up game and played with it all weekend. On Sunday, we stayed local and prepared for our big trip to Florida for Thanksgiving with the Lazari!

Ben & Jessica Come to Town

This weekend, Charlie got such a special treat when Uncle Ben and Aunt Jessica came to visit. On Saturday night we went out to dinner at Broken English and caught up on the goings-on since we last saw each other back in May. On Sunday, we walked all around Park Slope, grabbed a hot dog at Bark and played on the swings in the Park. Charlie had such a good time playing with his Uncle and Aunt and they are so sweet and wonderful with him. Can't wait to see them again for Thanksgiving. Charlie also tried on his Dad's hat--think we have a little hipster on our hands.
Jack's 2nd Birthday

On Saturday, the family attended our neighbor's son's 2nd Birthday at the Moxie Spot in Brooklyn Heights. This was Charlie's first birthday party and he was so excited to go. Even a bad reaction to his flu shot on Friday couldn't stop him. Charlie had such a blast at the party, he listened to a band, played music on his own and even ate a bit of cake. Charlie looked longingly at all the presents and can't wait for his own birthday celebration in January!

Happy 7th Anniversary Mom & Dad
On November 8th, Mom and Dad will be married for 7 years. To celebrate, we went out to East Meadow to Grandma and Grandpa's for some playtime and babysitting. Before going to the grandparents, we visited with our friends Matt, Jen and Natalya--one of Charlie's oldest friends. We had such a good time playing at their house especially in their large basement which Charlie is not used to living in Brooklyn! Later, Mom and Dad went out to dinner on Long Island leaving Charlie to play with Grandma and Grandpa. On Sunday, we went to a Marathon party at one of Charlie's day care friends named Jacob. We ate some great food and compared notes on how the boys were enjoying their day care experience. What a fun weekend!

Halloween!
Charlie had a spook-tacular first Halloween! Dressing up as an adorable bear, he had a blast at his daycare party. Mom also got into the spirit for NYU's Halloween party dressing up as a tourist. On Saturday, Charlie's best bud Andrew came over with his parents for the City Stomp concert. Charlie rocked-out to his favorite songs and saw all his friends from class. Afterward, we went to a local watering hole to catch-up and trade stories about growing up. On Sunday, we met up with Graeme and his folks for the annual Park Slope Halloween parade. Due to the cold, we spent most of the parade indoors at Beer Table and had a great time partying with all the kids and adults.
