Atlantic Antic

What a busy week. On Saturday we went into the City and met with Ryder and his parents at the NoHo Star for Brunch. The boys sat across from each other and loved "talking" to each other at the top of their lungs. After some shopping, we had dinner at a South African restaurant on the Lower East Side. On Sunday, we visited with our friends Ilyssa and Stu (and their dog Nathan) who are expecting a little friend for Charlie later this year. Afterward, we explored the Atlantic Antic Streetfair, the largest one in the City. We had some great food and picked up some cute clothes for the boy.

Saying Goodbye To Summer

As we get ready for Charlie's 8 month birthday and our big trip to Europe, we took advantage of the great summer weather one final time. On Saturday, Grandma and Grandpa came over to watch the Gators beat the hated Tennessee Vols. Before the game, we went to the Park and played in the playground. On Sunday, Mom brought Charlie into the City for brunch with our friend Sarah whose wedding we are going to in early October. While at brunch, Charlie made a new friend (Max) and showed everyone his new tricks such as slapping five. Can't believe the summer is over, but we are looking forward to all the fun things fall in Park Slope has to offer.

Showing off Brooklyn to the Grandparents

Charlie had a jam packed weekend which began with his first music class at City Stomp. Charlie loved watching the big kids dance and enjoyed playing the bells and maracas. We went right from music class to brunch with Grandpa Bill and Grandma Iris and their good friends the Hallers. It was great to see everyone and catch up. For dinner, Grandpa and Mom made a fantastic dinner and we had appetizers on the roof deck of our building. On Sunday we went to Eatily in the city, the Brooklyn Brewery for a mid-day drink and Fette Sau for some fantastic BBQ. Mom took Monday off and took Charlie and the Grandparents to the Prospect Park Zoo. Charlie had so much fun, he can't wait for Thanksgiving!

Charlie's Chuckle

Labor Day Weekend

Charlie's Labor Day weekend was jam packed with fun, friends and firsts. On Friday, our neighbors were kind enough to babysit and we celebrated Auntie Mel taking (and passing) her big test. On Saturday, Charlie experienced his first Gator game and the first of many wins!! He got decked-out in all his gear and rooted on the Gators for the whole game. Later, we met up with Charlie's friend Graeme and his parents at Mission Doleres for some late afternoon fun. On Sunday, we went to Prospect Park with Charlie and his oldest friend Jude (and his parents) and enjoyed the gorgeous weather. On Labor Day Monday, we went into the City and took Charlie to the Highline and Madison Square Park where we practiced sitting up, crawling and admired Charlie's first tooth. It was such a wonderful weekend and we can't believe we have to go back to work!
