On Saturday, January 30, 2010, Charlie became a member of the tribe. His bris was performed by Dr. Richard Roberts at Grandma Susan and Grandpa Bruce's house on Long Island. The bris went off without a hitch. The best part was seeing all of our families together under one roof.

Charlie's First Week
Charlie came home from the hospital on Monday, January 25th. Grandma Susan and Grandpa Bruce drove Mom, Dad and Charlie home and stayed for lunch. The rest of the week was filled with firsts: first walk in the park, first doctor's visit and first (of many) sleepless nights for Mom and Dad!! We are also planning for the bris on Saturday and Doug's return to work on Monday. So far, things are great!!
Welcome to the World, Charlie Rosenzweig
On Saturday, January 23, 2010, at around 8:30 a.m., Jessie began feeling contractions and called Doug, who was on his way to Long Island. He got the message as he was about to transfer trains, and by the time he got home, labor was already pretty far along. Doug called 911 and Jessie was brought to NY Methodist Hospital even though she was supposed to deliver in Manhattan at St. Luke's Hospital. She arrived at the hospital at 10:15 and was told by the doctors that she was fully dilated. 20 minutes later, Charles Ian Rosenzweig was born. He weighed 5 lbs. 10 oz. and was 19.75 inches tall; a small but very precious gift.
